Welcome to St Barnabas
At St Barnabas’ we have people from many different backgrounds and of all ages. Some have been Christian for many years, some have recently renewed their commitment and others are taking their first steps in understanding and living as Christians. Most importantly we are a community of people wanting to honour God in our lives. Two services are held each Sunday at St Barnabas. In both of these services we carefully and thoughtfully read and teach he Bible, consider how its message applies in our lives, sing praise and bring our common prayers to God.
Traditional Service 8.30 am to 9.30 am The 8.30am is a traditional prayer book service with classic hymns. Holy communion is celebrated every week at this service. The first Sunday of each month we use the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Supervised children's activities are run during the service in the church hall.
Contemporary Service 10.15 am to 11.30 am The "10 for 10.15" service is more informal with a band & contemporary music. It's a more casual, interactive style but with the same desire to explain and apply the Bible. A supervised crèche is provided along with a comprehensive children's program every Sunday.
